My name is Josh (a.k.a Czar Joshua..yes, that is my real first name!), and I'm a twenty-something post-grad student from the University of Leeds. I am an original Saudi baby, raised in the Philippines and have been a Brit since 2004. I like to write about a lot of things. On my page you will find posts that celebrate vintage clothes (count on me for some excessive gushing and coveting), recipes that dont turn out patients ready for the A&E, and for most of the time, take it as my answer to Dumbledore's Pensieve. Sometimes you just gotta talk about random shit you know? Freeing up some head space for future use is always a good pass time. I started blogging properly in May 2010. Some of you may have come across Tome Of A Czar, and while it was great when it was up, it was just in shambles most of the time. Afterwards, I tried my hand at micro-blogging over at Tumblr but found that I am simply too much of a chatterbox. I still have that page running, but since the demise of Tome, I realised that I loved online journaling too much. Hence, The Czar Is Alive is borne. Again. Under a new moniker.
I'm not aiming to be a famous blogger/fashionista/diva/extraordinaire (who am I kidding? Of course I do!), but a nice job at Condé Nast- *ahem* Vogue- would be a life accomplishment.
Anyway, I hope you like the page as much as I do. Especially the new layout. I adore the simplicity. It is so not like me, but I guess some part of me has to be to balance out my everyday flamboyancy.
