O-hayou! Lots of Love (...and Chocolate) from Japan!

Today I went to town to pick up my best friend Carla from the train station. It's all so exciting! Especially since it's her first time to visit up here in Leeds, and it's always fun whenever friends or family from home come to visit. But just when I thought things couldn't get any better, I come home to a nice, surprise. Very unexpected and totally out of the blue!

Had to smudge the details there!

It was a nice litte care pack from my friend Saki, who spent a year here in Leeds as an exchange student, and is now back living in Japan. I was so surprised and so happy! We got to know each other really well, and she even spent Christmas with us last year. I must say though, that receiving the package was also a smidge bittersweet because it just made me miss her even more. Thank god for Viber and Skype! The cool thing is that we've decided to exchange addresses so we can write to each other, old-school style. Like penpals! That way, we thought it would be more personal and heartfelt.

Oishii~desu! ^^
So opening the box was like opening a treasure chest full of snack and sweeties from Japan! These are the sort of foodstuff that I used to eat all the time back in the Philippines, but it's made even more special by the fact that it's from the epicentre of the snack world. She must have read my mind as well, because just recently, I've been dying and craving for some Pocky.

Well Saki, if you read this, know that I am brainstorming the package that I will be sending you in return! I want it to be special too so I'll carefully choose what to pack. I love you girl!

xoxo
