Jimmy Choo's Nicole Kidman Ads Have Arrived! The Verdict?

When it was announced that Nicole Kidman was to be the new face of Jimmy Choo, the first thought that crossed my mind was, 'Woop! She can wear heels again!'. Of course this was in relation to the fact that the whole time she was married to Tom Cruise, she never wore heels that towered her crazy ex-hubby. Then I thought, hang on a second- what will the ads look like? The last couple of years have seen Victoria's Secret-esque ads from Jimmy Choo, and although I am fully aware that Nic is capable of sexy- anything close to fetish isn't a good colour on her (remember that GQ 2009 cover? Eeek.)

Golden Globes 2012: Best Dressed

Last night's Golden Globes officially started the 2012 awards season, and true to form, the red carpet was full of Hollywood's finest. Actors and actresses from both television and the big screen walked down the carpet in some of the most beautiful couture pieces and as always, some were better than others. The ladies definitely brought their A-Game so without further ado, here are my top favourites for Best Dressed. I hope you like them!

SOFIA VERGARA: Wearing a beautiful navy fishtail gown, custom made by one of her favourites, Vera Wang. I love the ruching and the gathering of the fabric and the dress fit Sofia like a glove! Look at that stunning hourglass figure! Sofia won together with the cast for Best Comedy TV Series, and in the fashion stakes she may as well have won a statuette.
ZOOEY DESCHANEL: The New Girl wore a custom Prada couture dress, and while most of the critics debate over it, I thought it was the perfect choice for the singer/actress. It's sleek and shiny, and the acidic green beading adds just enough tartness to bring life and youth to what could have been a boring and predictable choice. She went for a sultry 60s Barbarella-look and it is a beautiful colour on this quirky and whimsical nominee.
TILDA SWINTON: Once again, Tilda brought a frosty fierceness onto the red carpet with this icy blue Haider Ackermann chiffon dress and structured tuxedo jacket. It's edgy and polished, a complete standout last night in a sea of nudes and champagne hued dresses. Plus, LOVIN that hairdo that is not dissimilar to mine :P
ANGELINA JOLIE: Wearing Atelier Versace, Angelina finally broke out of her usual choice of black dresses. This cream satin gown, like the actress herself, is clean and simple- very understated glam and that flash of scarlet just complemented her alabaster skin. It's subtle colour blocking and it worked.
NICOLE KIDMAN: It has been an underwhelming couple of seasons for the Nicole and I am so glad that she finally got her mojo back last night in this gray beaded chiffon Versace gown. It's still within her conservative frosty palette but when partnered with the cascade of her luscious red locks, it was a beautiful balance of fire and ice. The dress hugged her body perfectly, showing off those newfound curves (thanks to motherhood), and what else can I say really? Top marks!

Nicole Darling, I Love You But This Makes Me Hate You Even More

In her latest cover and spread for the February Issue of Harper's Bazaar US, Nicole Kidman looks as though she has drained the fountain of youth and decided to keep it all in her Nashville Home's water dispenser. Granted that the photoshop man has done a great job on removing some years off of her face, she still wouldn't look that great had she lost in the gene lottery. I love her so much, and I think she is one of the best actresses of all time, but looking at her just makes me feel sooooooooooooooooooooooo AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Once more, the green-eyed monster attacks! Not me...I would never say I hated her for being extra terrestrially beautiful. Oh would I?

Nevertheless, feast your eyes on the lovely Nicole, sporting a couple of looks from Marc Jacob's SS2011, couturier du jour Tom Ford (who has been featured in every publication since his womenswear debut!), and a big glowing smile. I genuinely feel that the Southern comforts of Tennessee and being domesticated just made her more radiant than ever. Ever! Jenny look!
